Meet Your Facilitators
Joan and Steven are a dynamic and inspiring couple living in Murwillumbah, Northern Rivers NSW, and as a husband/wife team have a unique approach to teaching this wonderful modality. They have been receiving intensive training in the Tibetan Usui System for over two decades and have been facilitating Reiki courses (up to Reiki Master Teachers level) together in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Joan is a practising Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher trainer and has been faculty on teacher training programs for over 18 years. She teaches Reiki in Sydney and at the Krishna Village in Northern NSW and has trained a number of practicing Reiki Master/Teachers throughout NSW. Joan became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2003. Her passion for teaching Reiki has grown over the years and her main focus is sharing her experience and insights to others who feel drawn to healing and helping others.
Steven first became interested in Reiki in 1998 and completed his Reiki Master Teacher certification in 1999. He was searching for how to connect with spiritual energy and people, recalling memories and feelings from staying at a spiritual retreat centre as a young adult where he felt wholeness, connection and purpose.
Over many years studying and researching different modalities he was drawn to Reiki partly because of its simplicity, the use of symbols and the ability to use Reiki in conjunction with other modalities. Steven has practiced and taught Reiki for over 20 years using his experiences and learnings to assist people to find their own connection, inner wisdom and intuition.
Joan and Steven are both members of the Australian Reiki Connection, Australia’s leading Reiki Association.

becoming a Master Practitioner
10.30 Learn advance techniques for the three sacred Traditional symbols given at Reiki
Level 2
11.15 Learn the fourth Traditional Reiki symbol, the Dai Ko Myo, and another
sacred symbol for grounding and completing your sessions
12.00 Practice advanced cleansing techniques
12:30 Lunch break (at Krishna Village)
13:30 Afternoon practical workshop layering in the four Traditional Symbols into a
Standard Reiki treatment session on a person lying down on a massage table
