The emphasis of this training is on learning the function of the brain and its anatomy. You will acquire many practical techniques for your craniosacral treatments of the brain and beyond. Etienne imparts his extensive knowledge with ease, generosity and humour. Introduction to the Stress Cascade and how to apply Craniosacral techniques to regulate all organs, systems and brain parts involved in regulating the Nervous System
The different nuclei in the brain that deal with trauma
The heart as the first organ to start functioning before the brain, and the connection they hold.
Deep dive into different brain parts: the Ventricle System, Hypothalamus, Hippocampus, Locus Coeruleus
Treating the Reticular Activating System (RAS) with embodied awareness and practical tools for the clients to take away
Masterclass B
How to treat the Cerebellum, the Vermis and 3 Lobes of the Cerebellum, and Nuclei - a game changer for practitioners in their treatment plan and for the client in outcomes
Going deeper into brain structures: Visual Occipital cortex, Pyramids, Claustreum, Internal Capsule and External Capsule

Meet Your Facilitator, CranioSacral Teacher & Author Etienne Peirsman
Etienne Peirsman came to CranioSacral Therapy in a non-traditional fashion. After a staph infection left him with nearly 20% kidney function in his 30s, he found that preparing to die brought him the clarity of total silence. In a remarkable turn of events, he was able to heal his own body, which led him to travel and find Cranio during an immersive meditation and bodywork training. From this time, Cranio became his life’s passion.
Etienne studied Cranio Sacral Therapy (CS) both in India and with Dr J. Upledger personally for almost 10 years at the Upledger Institute in Florida. He integrates the bio-mechanical teaching of Dr Upledger within his own meditative bio-dynamic approach. His work encompasses the evolution from bio-mechanical (Upledger) to bio-dynamic (Sutherland) CS.
He started teaching CS in 1990. Over the years, he founded the Peirsman CranioSacral School in the Netherlands, originated the CranioSacral Professional Organization in Holland, and is an honorary member of The Dutch CranioSacral Practitioner Association. These days, Etienne is heading up the Peirsman Craniosacral Academy in the USA and teaches Brain Masterclasses all over the world.

In addition, Etienne is the author of the book 'Craniosacral Therapy for babies and small children' together with his wife Neeto, published by North Atlantic Books in 2006. He has also written about 50 papers on CS and Meditation (in Dutch language in the magazine The Dura) and soon, his new book ‘Tantric aspects of CS’ will be published.

I learnt a lot and my treatments deepened
A few years ago I was watching a video of Etienne Peirsman treating a child with her mother. It was a "Rebirth treatment". For me, it was like a magic dance, meditative with open eyes of the child and flowing movement in a quiet space. Accommodation
Krishna Village is located on a beautiful organic farm in the scenic foothills of Mt. Warning, half way between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. The closest town is Murwillumbah, and the nearest airport Coolangatta (the Gold Coast airport).
Our Retreat Center is spread out across a beautiful natural farm setting, which means that some of our facilities and accommodation require a bit of walking. We offer a range of accommodation options from camping spots to creatively renovated container rooms, private pine cabins set in the hills overlooking the valley and more.
Delicious Vegetarian Meals
The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and is well established to grow a variety of high-quality produce, free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.
All our food, whether served at the village is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal.
