Become a Qualified Breathwork Instructor
Next course: 3-5 July 2026
In this fast-paced and anxiety-ridden world, support your clients in transforming their lives. Help them connect to their real inner selves, one deep, calm breath at a time...
What is Breathwork?
In modern life, more and more people experience significant amounts of stress. When you are in 'flight or flight' mode, your body responds by increasing your heart rate and releasing stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. Your breathing speeds up, your blood pressure increases and you start to feel anxious or tense.
Breathwork is a general term used to describe controlled breathing: exercises that improve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. By activating your parasympathetic nervous system, you are able to slow down your heart rate, lower your blood pressure and create a real sense of calm.
Breathwork can help the mind as well as the body. It alleviates mental chatter and can, in a safe way, help access buried emotions, trauma and grief. Breathwork techniques work well for a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety and stress.
Accredited Breathwork Facilitator Training
Nalu Breathwork is a powerful modality of conscious circular breathing rooted in ancient Hawaiian wisdom. We integrate time-honored techniques, including the ‘Ha’ Breath (the Breath of Life) and the Heart Breath, to facilitate healing on a deep level.
Our Breathwork Teacher Training Course offers a dual journey: you get to experience your own deep healing first, while simultaneously mastering the art of facilitation. By the end of this training, you will have the tools and be qualified to guide 1:1 sessions, couples journeys, breath circles, and hold group breathwork sessions.
This opens up a whole new world of opportunity for you as an existing therapist or as a new venture. On completion, you will be able to run your own retreats, workshops or healing business, hold space for individuals, teach at festivals, and incorporate breathwork into your massage-, yoga- or healing practice.
By healing yourself you are helping others on their journey to transforming lives, creating a better world for all!
Bring breathwork into your practice and improve lives in your community. Learn the ancient art of breathwork and find your true purpose in life.

The History of Breathwork
Breathwork and conscious breathing practices can be found around the world and back in ancient times and cultures. Many cultures like, Buddhism, Shamanism and Taoism have used the breathe to heal and deepen their meditation practices for many many years.
Back in the 1960s and 1970s Breathwork came back to light in the western world due to people like Leonard Orr, DR Stan Grof and more recently Wim Hof.
STYLES OF BREATHWORK
These days we have many styles of breathwork and there is no right or wrong method. It’s a good idea to liken it too Yoga, we have many styles of Yoga, no right or wrong yoga just which ever resonates with you or what you’re trying to achieve.
PRANAYAMA BREATHWORK
If you have practised Yoga you will be familiar with Pranayama Breathing. Its a controlled breath that is generally in through the nose and out though the mouth. It controls the breathe so you can move past emotional and energetic blocks that hinder the flow of your life force your lifer energy.
HOLOTROPIC BREATHWORK
Holotropic breathwork is a practice often accompanied by intense music and led by an instructor guiding a group of participants. It involves inhaling and exhaling for the same amount of time at different speeds to induce an altered state of consciousness.
Holotropic therapy has its roots in LSD therapy but is the drug-free alternative, where the main intent is to produce mind-altering experiences. People often experience visions, uncontrollable spurts of emotions, and sometimes muscle cramps.
REBIRTHING
Rebirthing breathwork is grounded in the idea that you carry residual stress from your traumatic experience of birth. Through this type of breathwork, it is believed you can allow yourself to release any emotional baggage and trauma that occurred during your birth.
The practice involves using circular breathing and often lying mostly underwater to create a state of relaxation that allows for pent-up stress, which has been stored in the body since birth, to be released. Through conscious breathing, instead of simply breathing air in and out, you can transform it to instead move energy.
WIM HOF METHOD
Wim Hof is probably the most popular breathwork treacher high now, due to some of his awesome achievements like climbing Mount Everest in shorts brrrrrrr! This method is different to the above as its done in sets and has breathe holds.
SOMA BREATHWORK
Soma Breath is a complete holistic system of Pranayama techniques, which can be arranged into different sequences depending on the type of workshop you are attending as well as tailored to your specific needs. There is no one size fits all, and we take into account the fact that everyone is different and requires different breathing techniques depending on their needs.
NALU BREATHWORK
Nalu Breathwork is distinguished by its unique, heart-based approach to healing. We blend the power of conscious circular breathing with ancient Hawaiian wisdom to take you on a journey of self-discovery. Unlike some rigid modalities, Nalu Breathwork is built on the understanding that healing is not "one size fits all." In this training, you will not only experience deep self-healing but also master the ability to tailor breathwork sessions to the individual or group. You will leave with the tools and intuition to guide others safely, honouring their specific needs and personal journey.
