Stress, Trauma & Nervous System Regulation Course

Go beyond Theory:
Learn to work directly with the body’s physiology, survival responses, and nervous system, using anatomically precise, attuned, hands-on listening skills

Next course date: 21-23 August 2026

Trauma and stress are not stored in memory alone — they are expressed through physiology, nervous system states, and the body’s survival reflexes. Some experiences are stored deep within the survival brain, tissue, cells and nervous system. So integrating a series of trauma-informed, body-based skills from the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy toolkit into your professional therapeutic practice can be a game changer.

Working directly with the body can help to...

... Regulate the nervous system

... Complete biological stress responses

... Unlock stuck survival patterns

... Restore presence, safety, and resilience

This unique, body-based course blends contemporary neuroscience and anatomy with hands-on Biodynamic Craniosacral practice, inviting practitioners to tune into the living physiology of the body. Rather than working with theory alone, you will learn to listen deeply and support nervous system regulation through precise, attuned touch, engaging the central and autonomic nervous systems, cranial rhythms, fascia, fluids, organs, and innate survival responses through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy principles.

What you will learn

As a participant, you will gain practical, experiential skills including:

 - The Vagus nerve in practice: anatomy, palpitation, and regulation
- Polyvagal theory applied: tracking autonomic states and discharging stress activation
- The language of the body: fascia speaks through movement, the nervous system through neural firing, fluids through flow, bones through rhythmic motion, and organs through motility.
A practical 12-step touch protocol to support autonomic and central nervous system regulation
- Biological Stress pathways, stress physiology and hands-on nervous system regulation techniques through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
- Core practitioner skills: presence, attunement, neutrality, and resonance to engage with the body’s intelligence
- Techniques to work with the central and autonomic nervous system - brain structure and spinal cord.
- Returning home to self and wholeness that existed before dysregulation and fragmentation.
- The scientific and spiritual principles underlying Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Who this course is for

This workshop is open to practitioners and facilitators who wish to integrate a body-based understanding of the nervous system and trauma into their existing work through Craniosacral techniques.

It is also open to individuals with a genuine interest in this field. Applicants without a professional background are welcome to attend if they have a minimum of one year’s consistent experience in embodied practices, or have engaged in at least six months of prior therapeutic support.

Disclaimer: This course is not intended to function as a space for personal therapy, nor does the workshop qualify participants as a Craniosacral Therapist.
You will, however, gain valuable Craniosacral techniques and protocols to support stress, trauma & nervous system regulation within your existing professional scope of practice.

Practitioners who will benefit the most:

(Massage)Therapists • Coaches • Kinesiologists • Psychotherapists • Psychologists • Health Professionals • Counsellors • Breathworkers • Acupuncturists & more

Turn cutting edge trauma theory into practical embodied healing. Learn to listen to the body, regulate the nervous system, and transform trauma at its roots.

Meet Your Teacher

Dorine Siccama

Dorine Siccama is an integrative practitioner, educator, and published author specialising in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, nervous system regulation, and mind–body trauma work. Her work explores how stress, trauma, and life experience are expressed through the body, and how physiological regulation can be supported through gentle, hands-on therapeutic approaches.

Dorine's approach is informed by Biodynamic Craniosacral principles, contemporary neuroscience, and psychology, with a particular focus on how stress and trauma are processed through the nervous system. Through both clinical practice and teaching, Dorine supports regulation, integration, and physiological safety using trauma-informed, body-based methods.

Dorine holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, trained at the International School of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy at Kientalerhof, Switzerland. Her training also includes qualifications in Myofascial Release and Remedial Massage, contributing to an integrative understanding of structural, fascial, and neurophysiological processes. Her workshops offer a supportive learning environment that combines clear theoretical frameworks with embodied practice, supporting practitioners to apply body-based approaches in a safe, informed, well-supported and clinically relevant way.

Words of appreciation for Dorine

Life changing - so many lightbulbs moments not only for my own self awareness but also greater support my clients in a truly neutral way. The pace of the course is excellent - the way Dorine explains complex theories with real life examples - I loves that she makes it flow that we we sue all parts our brain - cognitive for theory but lost of focus on feeling and instinct - most courses miss these last parts and stay too long in the cognitive brain. - Natalie (Massage therapist)

Wonderful balance of theory, practice & embodiment. There is a depth in both knowledge and feelings, a safety and connection that is so powerful. Such a powerful course, incredible in-depth understanding and practicing craniosacral therapy and also a profound learning in self development and personal therapy and transformation. Really feels like you get 2 incredible profound courses bound together as one!   - LJ (Art Therapist)

So grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and for the hands-on practice and that she shares these gifts so generously for the benefit of her students, clients and beyond. Dorine has such a comforting and caring disposition combined with humour, humility, compassion and such deep skill and experience.  - Abby (Social Worker)

The course was even better than expected! The flow felt perfect - not too overwhelming. The mix of information with practice was done at a beautiful pace. The core practitioner skills were a big skill I have been missing in my practice. Life changing - my mind has been blown, forever grateful to Dorien and her incredible knowledge and intuition. I felt so supported and safe. I have learnt so much about my mind and body in a short amount of time. The biggest one being able to be in my body and not so much in my head.  - Andy (Therapist)

Loved the balance of theory and practice, rich personal experiences of learning, understanding and amazement at the beauty and wonder of the human body. Dorine is very generous and open-hearted in her teaching, her empathy with others and intuitive understand of the important elements of life.  - Sofia (teacher)
