Course Objectives for this 6 Day Training

Advance your skills as a holistic therapist in an inspiring and enriching learning environment

Experience a transformative, spiritual and healing journey, enabling you to learn your individual nature and how to create a life of balance

Join our close family of worldwide graduates; a group of people you'll be able to grow with for years to come.

The emphasis of this Level 1 Training is on reawakening our intuition and ability to be guided by spirit. We focus on treating Vata, the source of almost all disease; through meditation, positive psychology, breath practices, and grounding asana. We will delve into:

Introduction to the Ayurvedic 5 Element System and how to apply the system for balancing lifestyle, diet and Yoga Therapy

How to define the strengths and weakness of each form of Yoga by its elemental dominance

Diagnose an individual’s state of dosha (disease tendency), and learn the techniques to best balance each dosha

How to assess and treat the Ayurvedic tri-gunas, known as tamas (stagnation and delusion), rajas (action and desire), and sattva (peace and harmony). How to integrate diets, lifestyle and yoga practices to promote sattva. When sattva dominates, our internal life compass returns to accuracy and self-healing becomes effortless

Meditations, breath practices, and asana to balance the three Ayurvedic disease tendencies

Experience yoga therapy for the feet, spine, hips, and legs

Accreditation

This training is recognised by the IPHM, (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine), the largest leading independent professional accreditation board worldwide, specialising in certifying alternative therapists, practitioners, healers, and training providers who practice holistic and alternative therapies.

Accommodation

Krishna Village is located on a beautiful organic farm in the scenic foothills of Mt. Warning, half way between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. The closest town is Murwillumbah, and the nearest airport Coolangatta (the Gold Coast airport).

Our Retreat Center is spread out across a beautiful natural farm setting, which means that some of our facilities and accommodation require a bit of walking. We offer a range of accommodation options from camping spots to creatively renovated container rooms, private pine cabins set in the hills overlooking the valley and more.

Delicious Vegetarian Meals

The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and is well established to grow a variety of high-quality produce, free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.

All our food, whether served at the village  is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with us, or just listen and enjoy…

About the Krishna Farm

Nestled in the foothills of the Wollumbin National Park in the heart of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, the Hare Krishna Farm “New Govardhana” is a 1000 acre certified organic property with orchards, syntropic vegetable gardens, cows, horses, streams and swimming holes in abundance.

New Govardhana serves as an ashram to a community of yogis who aspire to live according to their deepest vows and commitments on their path of service, spiritual contentment and happiness (Bhakti Yoga). Their service and dedication make this location a beautiful place of growth, healing and spiritual awakening. The temple is the beating heart of the community at New Govardhana and we encourage all who visit the property to come along and experience the lifestyle and philosophy reflected by the practice of Krishna consciousness.
