Ayurvedic Nutrition and Sensory Alchemy
With Kimmana Nichols
Hone your sensory perception and present moment awareness to naturally calm your mind, quiet your heart, and enhance your healing abilities
Engaging your sensory laboratory — the practice of consciously tasting, smelling, and feeling — invites you into a state of presence, where deeper calm and self-healing can unfold. This mindful connection anchors your awareness in the now, quieting mental distractions and allowing you to connect with the wisdom of your body.
Do you know what your senses are addicted to? Or how these sensory addictions are influencing your health or disease? Are you able to feel what foods are best for you? Or taste a food you’ve never known before and instantly know how it will affect your body and mind? The answers to all these questions and more are inside this course...
Desires and addictions are the primary cause of disease and suffering. According to Ayurveda, our senses are to blame. On the other side, the wholesome use of our senses is the primary path to not just physical healing but also mental balance.
Imagine instantly knowing how any food or medicine will affect your body and mind
This course teaches you how to use your sensory laboratory to assess any food or medicine and know what effect it may have on your body and mind. Not only can this be incredibly useful for individualised healing with nutrition, but it can also increase our “body awareness”. Understanding the messages our body is communicating to us is essential to guide ourselves to health, happiness and enlightenment.

Accommodation
Krishna Village is located on a beautiful organic farm in the scenic foothills of Mt. Warning, half way between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. The closest town is Murwillumbah, and the nearest airport Coolangatta (the Gold Coast airport).
Our Retreat Center is spread out across a beautiful natural farm setting, which means that some of our facilities and accommodation require a bit of walking. We offer a range of accommodation options from camping spots to creatively renovated container rooms, private pine cabins set in the hills overlooking the valley and more.
Delicious Vegetarian Meals
The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and is well established to grow a variety of high-quality produce, free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.
All our food, whether served at the village is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with us, or just listen and enjoy…

About the Krishna Farm
Nestled in the foothills of the Wollumbin National Park in the heart of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, the Hare Krishna Farm “New Govardhana” is a 1000 acre certified organic property with orchards, syntropic vegetable gardens, cows, horses, streams and swimming holes in abundance.
New Govardhana serves as an ashram to a community of yogis who aspire to live according to their deepest vows and commitments on their path of service, spiritual contentment and happiness (Bhakti Yoga). Their service and dedication make this location a beautiful place of growth, healing and spiritual awakening. The temple is the beating heart of the community at New Govardhana and we encourage all who visit the property to come along and experience the lifestyle and philosophy reflected by the practice of Krishna consciousness.
