Voice Activation Weekend
Your voice is the doorway to your nervous system!
Voice activation is a transformational process to open and unlock the true power of your voice. Together, we will break down any limiting beliefs around your voice by learning techniques that will allow you to come out of your comfort zone and release blockages in and around your voice and throat.
We will also focus on the benefits of chanting and sound vibration to tone the vagus nerve. Voice Activation is not just voice coaching – it’s essential below-the-surface work to address any challenges you have around using your voice or making yourself heard.

Get out of your comfort zone and release blockages in your voice and throat
As you explore and develop your voice, you will:
Develop a richer vocal tone
Explore your creativity
Get more confident in speaking up, even when it’s hard, and
Get to know yourself more deeply
"There’s a strong musical element to my work, but whether you sing a lot, or don’t believe you can sing at all, I want you to know that you are welcome. This workshop will benefit you on all levels. We will create a safe container to activate our voices, while exploring through warm-ups, singing, toning, vocal exercises, release techniques, basic music theory and improvising on Indian scales (Sargam)." - Tanurajani
"Be prepared to come on a deep journey with the voice! We will laugh, cry, breakthrough and SING!!!"

Meet your facilitator

Tanurajani
Tanurajani (formerly Emma Louise) is a singer/ songwriter from the Northern Rivers.
Her journey with music began when she was a teenager, as a way to express herself, when she picked up her dads guitar and would write songs by ear. As the years passed, she developed her craft as a songwriter by attending workshops and playing many gigs around Sydney.
She holds a Bachelor in Music Production and Composition from the Australian Institute of Music. In the following years, she recorded two studio albums, had airplay on Triple J and community radio and toured the country, yet she felt so beaten by the music industry that she decided to take a break. “My voice was never pitch perfect, and I was constantly put down by people, so I just stopped singing." However, three years later, Tanu was reintroduced to singing through a kirtan yoga retreat.
"Devotional singing helped me find my voice again and express my love and creativity through my voice."
She began to take harmonium lessons, which reignited her knowledge of music theory from her uni degree. She trained with Voice Activation Coach Paulina Magus in Ubud and decided to study the healing benefits of chanting and singing on the nervous system.
As a trained yoga teacher and experienced course facilitator, Tanu loves holding space for her students through this healing work.
