Dear course participants,

I'm looking forward to sharing a wonderful weekend with you! Please find below a few words about my own meditation journey as a personal welcome, and a list of items to bring when you come along for the retreat.

It's been almost 25 years since I started meditating and I would not exchange my practise for a single thing in this world. 

Growing up, I saw a lot of dissatisfaction, confusion, sadness, anger, fear and anxiety in the world. It was unbearable. In my late teens, I had a rock band named THE BAD WORLD. That's how I felt about life - empty and hopeless! Maybe you can relate. I felt that there must be something more ... I wanted to change, find an alternative path and do something positive for myself and others. 

So just before my 20th birthday, I made a commitment and went to live in the forest, as far away from civilisation as I could. Here, I lived in complete seclusion for one year, fully focusing on my research, study and practice. I was searching for a higher consciousness ... and found my answer in mediation. Deep meaning, freedom from fear, profound peace, harmony, beauty, wisdom, joy and love - I found all these beautiful qualities deep inside, just where they are present in all of us. When we access them in meditation, we can bring them to the world and share them with others.

I was so excited with my discoveries that I became a monk for 10 years to fully dedicate myself to my meditation practice. Over the last two decades, I have been blessed to share this beautiful, life-changing practice with thousands of individuals. The courses I teach are designed to help you be happy, be fearless, find purpose and feel love. 

After a weekend of immersion in meditation you will feel rejuvenated, energised and uplifted. I personally have not found anything more beneficial for my physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
