Drifting along the summer breeze wearing a crisp white kurta with a bold navy embroidery, Mansi emanates a calm, soft energy as she goes about her daily appointments, pausing every now and then to engage in conversation, an almost child like twinkle in her eye. Despite only being at the Krishna Village for the last few months, she blends into the scenery seamlessly, her presence as natural as the rolling hills in the valley beyond.
Ask and you shall receive
She knew as soon as she visited the Village that this was her place of belonging, and reminisces, “I always felt like I had been here... On the bus from Murwillumbah it felt like coming home.” After spending the previous two months seeking support, her call had been answered, and following a ten day retreat at the centre she left her job and home in Melbourne to set down new roots.
Healing Hands
A reiki master of 10 years, Mansi has always felt like her life’s work is in healing, her higher motive being to help spread love and empower people to help themselves and others. She facilitates this with an array of energy work, drawing not only upon reiki but also colour, light and sound healing, soma therapy and guides from angelic realms. Highly intuitive, her background in psychology and years of experience as a healer in India also help shape her sessions, which are tailored around individuals specific needs and concerns. The enthusiasm Mansi has for her art is clear, but she is also humble and stresses, “I’m just a medium, a conduit to healing... I hold space to release all stuck emotions.” Space which is sorely needed for people to feel safe and delve into their healing processes, something which unguided can take a lot longer.
Step into your power
In the past few weeks Mansi has also been contributing to the community with a series of talks on spirituality, e.g. on boundaries and protecting our own energy. She explains “I want to make people aware of their own power. It’s easy to lose in this modern age and not give it away to people, governments, darkness. You need to magnify your light.” By doing this, she elaborates, people can go on to live their truth and take care of the greater good, in return receiving the support they need to thrive. This kind of reciprocation can be seen all around the Krishna Village, in the seva (karma yoga work) completed every day and in the constant exchange and sharing of new ideas and skills. A place for growth, Mansi sees the Village as a “vortex of energy” and a place where love really connects people - something which can be lacking in the outside world.
Over a decade on from her initial forays into energy work and healing, Mansi has accepted that at this moment, this is her higher duty. She acknowledges, “This is the work I have to do. You have to trust that intuition - no matter how crazy it looks!” Some advice we could all make use of.
