We’re growing and expanding here at the Krishna farm just like all of our visitors and yoga teacher trainees – transformation is in the air! There are many renovations taking place – the gardens are being improved with grins and green thumbs, our reception office is in the middle of a gorgeous makeover (watch this space: shop coming soon!) and the whole camp kitchen area is having a redesign.
We’ve got some talented hands-on folk sharing their skill sets with us as they pave, sand, paint, dig and weed the morning away. The vision is coming to life with the vibrant energy of everybody chipping in to create a new-look Krishna Village. When the renovations are complete, visitors will be greeted with a brand new reception area complete with a shop that offers everything from eco-products to bamboo clothing, enhancing your stay with us and also giving you an opportunity to take a piece of paradise home with you!
The camp kitchen is a large open space presenting everything you need to create wholesome meals and with a fire pit in the centre of numerous picnic tables, a perfect spot to hang out or have a relaxing cup of tea. Currently we’ve got a few handymen (yogis at sunrise, tradesmen by morning tea, how lucky are we!) laying pavers, sanding tables and painting the kitchen to give new life to the area, surrounded by the wild nature of this beautiful land. Eventually, the camp kitchen will be a shaded and sheltered haven to retreat to in the heat of the day for study, cooking and a bit of cheeky ping pong.
We eat our raw food lunch here everyday, so the intention is to create an uplifting atmosphere of health, radiance and community. The plant life is thriving with the stunning combination of sunshine and rain we’ve received lately, so we are taking advantage of the keen sets of hands available to assist in bringing our gardens alive. Our karma yogi’s and YTT’s are weeding and mulching, moving through the gardens with ease leaving them looking lovelier than before. Its an exciting time around the village, utilising the ‘new year’ momentum and creating a new and intentional space for all to enjoy.
We look forward to showing you around!
