The Krishna Village is located half way between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, about 30mins inland from the Pacific Highway. The closest town is Murwillumbah, where several bus services stop on their way to Byron Bay, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Getting from Murwillumbah to the Krishna Village

If you come to Murwillumbah by public transport and need a lift to the Krishna Village, please contact us at least 24hrs in advance to discuss options. Usually, we offer pick ups on Sun-Fri from 8:30am - 1:30pm from Murwillumbah (+ $10).

If you arrive later in the day or on a Sunday, please take a taxi (cost is about $30-35).

The closest airport with the best connections to Murwillumbah is the Gold Coast Airport (33 km). Other airports nearby include Ballina Byron Gateway Airport (75km) and Lismore Regional Airport (87 km).

Brisbane Airport

A variety of international airlines arrives in Brisbane. For national flights we recommend to use the Gold Coast Airport instead.

Bus connection from Brisbane airport to Murwillumbah:
Take the airport train to Varsity Lakes train station. From there, take the bus line 760 to Tweed Centro shopping centre. There, change to bus line 605 (Surfside Buses) to Murwillumbah.

Murwillumbah itself doesn't have an operating train station anymore. The nearest interchange is “Casino”, from where you can take a bus to Murwillumbah.
