Prepare for your Yoga Teacher Training

Dear Trainees, we are so excited to have you on board and start your teaching journey with you!

We used to send out loooong emails with heaps of attachments, which could be confusing and get lost in the depths of your inboxes. So instead, we have gathered all your prep study documents here in one spot. Enjoy the process – we are looking forward to meeting you in person soon …

1) Sanskrit names – correct pronunciation

Firstly, please download our Sanskrit Pre-Course Study Guide document. Then, you can listen to the audios below:

If you are interested in more details, you can have a look at this online guide to Sanskrit pronunciation.

2) Yoga Philosophy

There are two documents that will help you prepare:

Firstly, our simple guide The Gita in Acronyms that will help you easily remember the most important concepts from the Bhagavad Gita.

Secondly, the translation of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

3) Yoga Anatomy

Your main working document will be the Yoga Anatomy book by Leslie Kaminoff that’s part of our book pack. However, it would be great if you could read this Anatomy and Physiology pre-course homework and get up to speed with the terms.

4) Level 2 YTT pre-course reading

To prepare for your Level 2 (300hr) training, please download the Pre-Course reading list.

Further, please read the document on Practicing and Teaching Pranayama.
