Are you a school teacher, yoga instructor, youth worker or parent with a love for yoga? Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of the next generation? Do you feel called to share the yoga way of life with teenagers? Then join senior teacher Chloe Thorogood and learn effective and practical ways to introduce yoga, mindfulness, and self-care to teens during this pivotal time in their lives.
Chloe’s 3.5 day course will empower you to create yoga classes for teens that enhance connectedness, self-awareness, and lifelong commitment to physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Inspire teens to get into yoga early in life
Teenagers - you’ve got to love them... Going through hormonal changes, significant adaptations in their brain chemistry and all the dramas that come with it - a difficult time, to say the least.
And yet, whoever (or whatever) inspires them and gives them a safe space to explore and be themselves might well become a connection for life. So what if - in the middle of their most vulnerable time in their life, with other options like sex, drugs and rock’n’roll looming - we could get them to find joy in something as healthy and inspiring as yoga? What if we could get teens to drop their cool and experience the magical connection that happens when you surrender in yoga, and subsequently discover things like meditation, mindfulness, deeper states of being… What a gift to a young person, to receive yoga this early. We could definitely help shape a life for the better.
Meet your teacher
When Chloe Thorogood discovered yoga at age 22, it was an immediate love affair which has led her from her native London all over the world. She has studied with renowned teachers like Clive Sheridan and John Ogilvie, and has spent time in India to deepen her practice and adopt yoga as a holistic lifestyle.
In 2011 Chloe completed an 800 hour Certificate IV in Yoga, and in 2013 began working as a yoga teacher trainer. Previously, Chloe taught Physical Education in High Schools. She now teaches yoga in schools and finds herself continuously uplifted and inspired by her young students. Through her work she has an intricate understanding of the education system and the practicalities of teaching yoga and mindfulness to teens.
In 2017 she launched her own ‘Yoga for Teens’ Teacher Training. It is for teachers, parents, yogis, or anyone interested in working with young people, to spread the gift that is yoga to the next generation.

We can host up to 85 people in a combination of rooms, dorms and camping spots. All rooms have shared amenities. The amenities blocks include showers, toilets and a coin operated laundry (byo laundry powder).
Common areas include the kitchen & campfire area (the heart of the Krishna Village), the reading room (with Internet hotspot) and the yoga hall where we gather for classes.
Single, twin share & double rooms in our refurbished shipping containers
The Krishna Village offers 3 double rooms (1 big bed), 4 twin share rooms (bunk bed) and 11 single rooms in former shipping containers. They have been renovated and turned into simple but comfortable accommodation, each with a beautiful wooden verandah, shared by 3 or 4 adjacent rooms. Bedding is being provided.
Set among beautiful mango and lychee trees in our eastern garden, our camp ground can host up to 20 tents and 5 camper vans. The area for the vans is equipped with electricity. The amenities block is only 50m away.
Delicious Vegetarian Food
The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and has therefore fantastic conditions to grow excellent produce. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.
We provide 3 delicious vegetarian meals every day, with lunches taking place at the Krishna Village community kitchen, and breakfast and dinners - mostly Indian style - served at the prasadam hall, next to the temple.
All our food is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with us, or just listen and enjoy...
The Krishna Farm
Nestled in the foothills of Mount Warning, in the heart of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, the Krishna Farm “New Govardhana” is a 1000 acre property with orchards, certified organic veggie gardens, cows, horses, streams and swimming holes in abundance.
New Govardhana serves as an ashram to a community of yogis who aspire to live according to their deepest vows and commitments on their path of service, spiritual contentment and happiness, Bhakti Yoga. Their service and dedication make this location a beautiful place of growth, healing and spiritual awakening. If you are interested, please come along and visit our beautiful Radha Govardhandhari temple.
"Amazing and informative experience"
"I completed Chloe’s Yoga for Teens Training and had such an amazing and informative experience. Chloe is a fantastic teacher and really inspired the whole group. I’m an English Teacher, currently completing my yoga teacher training but I would recommend this to anyone who has a love of yoga and teaching or working with teens."

"I can see how teenagers relate to her awesomeness"
"Chloe was my teacher during my 500 hr Yoga Teacher Training in Byron Bay. She was so down to earth and fun to be around. Her knowledge of anatomy and pranayama was really incredible. I felt really honoured to have a teacher that is so real and aligned in her practice. Chloe inspires many people and makes a big difference in people's lives... which is SO important, especially in the work she does with teens. I can see how teenagers relate to her awesomeness and get inspired to follow a path that is true to them."
- Jess Raven
"Feel what true yoga means"
“When you practice with Chloe you can easily understand that yoga is not only about entering into a pose - it is a way to express yourself, letting go of all your expectations and ideas of gaining something. Chloe’s classes are authentic and full of energy. I’ve always been inspired by her teachings. If you want to ‘feel’ what true yoga means I definitely recommend her.”
