Embody the sacred power of the feminine...

This is an invitation for Women who yearn to feel deeply connected to their intuition daily. This is for Women who are feeling disconnected from the feminine, divine, and each other. This retreat will be a container for which you may re-enter conversation with your heart, your intuition & your highest self, and create deep connections with like-minded Women.

Dive deep into the Wild Woman within! Together let’s tune into our divine feminine power through yoga, meditation, mantra, intentions, manifestation, breath-work, Tantric practices, and Ayurvedic self care for women. To embody the Wild Woman is to meet both our inner and outer worlds with more richness and delight, opening up the pathway to healing, and living our most powerful, wild and wise Self!

Explore Daily Practice through Ancient Wisdom & Inner Medicine

Together we will connect to the divine feminine as we explore daily practice through ancient wisdom + inner medicine. Spend three and a half days diving deep into a range of powerful practices including yoga, mantra, meditation, breath-work, Ayurveda, Tantra, moon cycles, hormone health, and so much more. We will also study some important works of Woman’s Mythology and the Radiance Sutras, and participate in our own storytelling though journaling and manifestation practices. Through this retreat you will be inspired to design your own daily practice from the modalities that you resonate with most, empowering you to connect to your heart daily, live embodied, and re-enter conversation with your most wild & wise self, Woman.

It is a potent and ancient practice for Women to gather and create a space for healing and expansion ~ I have chosen Krishna Village for this retreat to take place as I have experienced my own growth and healing here many times over the past few years.

Denise Battany has been practicing yoga for nine years and completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Krishna Village in 2016. Denise is naturally intuitive, but her relationship to self and spirit has ebbed and flowed throughout her life.

Story, Mythology & the vast and powerful practices of Yoga & Ayurveda have created a container for her own personal healing, and have been the vehicle for which she has learned to stay grounded and connected to her intuitive self.

Denise has completed further study in Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultancy & Yoga Therapy, has studied Tantric Yoga and Chakra Work with Sian Pascale in Melbourne, and is a Certified Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP).

Denise is dedicated to helping others find the vehicle that carries them into their hearts and aligns them with their intentions. She believes there is a Wise Wild Woman within all of us, and it is vital to our wellbeing and vibrance to connect to her daily.

The Krishna Village Experience

Krishna Village is located on a beautiful organic farm in the scenic foothills of Mt. Warning, half way between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. Closest town is Murwillumbah, and the nearest airport Coolangatta (the Gold Coast airport).

As an established eco-yoga community and retreat centre we provide a continuous and diverse schedule of daily classes and activities for all our guests, taught by a wide range of instructors.

We offer two Yoga classes per day, one in the early morning and the other mid-afternoon, as well as Kirtan and Yogic Living classes, which encompass a broad variety of topics around healthy yogic living, such as vedic philosophy, meditation, ayurveda, etc.

At the Krishna Village we offer a range of accommodation options spread out over the property of ‘New Govardhana’, from creatively renovated container rooms in the village proper to private pine cabins set in the hills overlooking the valley.

The village itself sits at the bottom of the farm alongside the Oxley river and comprises the majority of our accommodation options, including the Lotus Pod Apartments, the Village Containers, our large campground and powered vehicle sites and the two dormitories. All of the accommodation in the village is serviced by shared amenities, with communal bathrooms providing shower, toilet and laundry facilities.

Common areas are accessible to all our guests but are largely located in the heart of the village and include a large communal kitchen, dining & campfire area, a cosy study and reading room with WiFi access and the newly renovated yoga hall facility, where we gather for classes and which provides a space for private practice of all kinds.

In addition, all of our accommodation is inclusive of 3 meals each day as well as access to our full retreat class schedule, including twice daily yoga sessions.

Village Containers (Single, Double and Twin Share Rooms)

The Krishna Village has 4 double rooms furnished with double beds, 5 twin share rooms with bunk beds and 11 spacious single rooms each with a single bed. All of our rooms have been creatively renovated from former shipping containers into simple yet comfortable and neatly finished accommodation. Bedding is provided for each room, but guests are encouraged to bring their own toiletries and towels for use in the communal bathrooms.

Lotus Pod Double Rooms

Newly renovated in 2018, the Lotus Pod is a beautiful, rustic Queenslander-style building that houses a suite of 6 boutique double rooms. Our cozy double rooms have one double bed and a lovely private patio for you to read, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. Your room also includes a wardrobe and fan/heater. Maintaining its own internal shared bathrooms, it provides an additional standard of luxury for guests seeking more private accommodation. Bedding is provided for each room, but guests are encouraged to bring their own toiletries and towels.

Camping Ground and Van Sites

Set amongst a forest of beautiful mango and lychee trees next to our eastern syntropic gardens, our camp ground can host up to 30 tents and 10 camper vans (no wider than 2.8m and no longer than 6m). Our vehicle sites are equipped with electricity and are no more than 50m walk from the nearest amenities.

Private Cabins

Our cabins provide privacy and idyllic views for guests looking to indulge in the peaceful solitude of ‘New Govardhana’ farm. Set in the hills overlooking the village, these private cabins are a 5 minute walk to the temple and have a stunning view of the surroundings from your private veranda. The open plan design contains one double bed, one sofa bed, and a pull out trundle, plus an internal bathroom and kitchenette. You also have access to the adjacent Bhakti Guesthouse fully equipped kitchen and all additional shared amenities in Krishna Village (5-10 minute walk), including the communal kitchen, reading room, coin operated laundry and yoga hall. These cabins are recommended for 3 guests; however, if you would like to book for 4 please call reception.

Delicious Vegetarian Food

The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and is well established to grow a variety of high-quality produce, free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.

We produce three delicious vegetarian meals every day at the temple kitchen, with food served at the prasadam hall at the top of the hill. Additionally, the village kitchen prepares a bountiful vegan lunch on all days except Saturday, when the volunteers take their day of rest, focusing on produce from the organic gardens and catering to gluten free diets. This lunch is served in the village dining area.

All our food, whether served at the village or the temple, is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with us, or just listen and enjoy…

The Krishna Farm

Nestled in the foothills of the Wollumbin National Park in the heart of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, the Hare Krishna Farm “New Govardhana” is a 1000 acre certified organic property with orchards, syntropic vegetable gardens, cows, horses, streams and swimming holes in abundance.

New Govardhana serves as an ashram to a community of yogis who aspire to live according to their deepest vows and commitments on their path of service, spiritual contentment and happiness (Bhakti Yoga). Their service and dedication make this location a beautiful place of growth, healing and spiritual awakening. The temple is the beating heart of the community at New Govardhana and we encourage all who visit the property to come along and experience the lifestyle and philosophy reflected by the practice of Krishna consciousness.
