Next Course Weekends: 20-22 July and 26-28 October 2018

Learn to channel gentle, healing reiki energy to nurture, re-energise and protect the people you love and care about.

Discover the magic of energy work

Reiki is a is a well-respected and trusted, non-invasive hands on modality. It teaches us to reconnect with the universal life force energy - in Chinese called Qi, in Sanskrit known as Prana.

Reiki not only helps you to heal on a mental, emotional, and physical level, it also supports your personal development by enhancing self-esteem, confidence and self-worth. The training will assist you with energy revitalising, energy protection, grounding, and developing a way to be at peace with yourself and your environment.

This weekend workshop is for individuals and couples likewise. Come along if you are interested in learning to work with Reiki on yourself, family, friends and pets. The workshop is also for people who have had previous contact with Reiki and would like to re-connect with their practice.

You will learn how to channel this gentle soft healing energy, which can be included with any other hands on work. This practice will support you in being more present and heart centred, developing greater compassion and joy.

    Joan and Ananda.jpg

Joan is a practising Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher trainer and has been faculty on teacher training programs for over 12 years. She teaches Reiki in Sydney and at the Krishna Village in Northern NSW and has trained a number of practicing Reiki Master/Teachers throughout NSW. Joan became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2003. Her passion for teaching Reiki has grown over the years and her main focus is sharing her experience and insights to others who feel drawn to healing and helping others.

Steven visited a spiritual retreat centre with his parents at a young age. Ever since, he felt and intuitively knew that our body is capable of having great awareness and ability to heal itself. Over many years, after working with different modalities, he was drawn to Reiki and became a qualified Reiki Master Teacher in 1999.
Steven has found Reiki to be essential in making better life choices and developing a stronger spiritual practice. He has worked with many people from different walks of life, especially supporting men, and has found the ability to hold space in a safe grounded environment a cornerstone to his success. Over the last 10 years in a professional capacity as Executive Officer he has developed management and life skills specialising in quality management and found Reiki an invaluable tool to complement his skill set.

Joan and Steven are both members of the Australian Reiki Connection, Australia’s leading Reiki Association.

Located between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, the Krishna Village can host up to 75 people in a combination of rooms, dorms and camping spots. There are usually around 25 full time volunteers who work in our organic gardens and maintain the grounds, 10 long term community members and 15-25 retreat guests or Karma Yogis.

All rooms have shared amenities. The amenities block includes showers, toilets and a coin operated laundry (byo laundry powder).

Common areas include the kitchen & campfire area (the heart of the Krishna Village), the reading room (with Internet hotspot) and the yoga hall where we gather for classes.

    Single & double rooms

The Krishna Village has 6 double and 11 single rooms. They are all set in former shipping containers that have been renovated and turned into simple but comfortable accommodation. Most rooms are equipped with bunk beds, bedding is being provided.

    Camp ground

Set among beautiful mango and lychee trees in our eastern garden, our camp ground can host up to 20 tents and 5 camper vans. The area for the vans is equipped with electricity. The amenities block is only 50m away.

    Delicious Vegetarian Food

The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and has therefore fantastic conditions to grow excellent produce. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.

We provide 3 delicious vegetarian meals every day, with lunches taking place at the Krishna Village community kitchen, and breakfast and dinners - mostly Indian style - served at the prasadam hall, next to the temple.

All our food is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with us, or just listen and enjoy...

    The Krishna Farm

Nestled in the foothills of Mount Warning, in the heart of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, the Krishna Farm “New Govardhana” is a 1000 acre property with orchards, certified organicveggie gardens, cows, horses, streams and swimming holes in abundance.

From the moment when you cross the rustic wooden bridge over the Oxley River and pass through the beckoning avenue of trees which comprises the entrance to the farm, you will notice that this Vedic Yoga Sanctuary is a special place and that your soul finds peace and a sense of coming home.

New Govardhana serves as an ashram to a community of yogis who aspire to live according to their deepest vows and commitments on their path of service, spiritual contentment and happiness, Bhakti Yoga. Their service and dedication make this location a beautiful place of growth, healing and spiritual awakening. If you are interested, please come along and visit our beautiful Radha Govardhandhari temple.

One of the greatest gift that I gave myself was a one week yoga retreat stay at Krishna Village. This magical land allows me to connect with my true self and every beautiful being I have met there. I took two days Baliness massage course by Caren and Dee. They are wonderful teachers with special ability to love and heal. I can feel my heart is smiling when I think of them. Everything about it is amazing, the nature, the food, and the people. I left with my mind open and my spirit hight! - Tola S., tripadvisor

I visited Krishna Village for a week and attended a Balinese massage course. Both my stay and the course were amazing. The Village and surrounding nature are so peaceful, I felt an enormous calmness as soon as I stepped out of my car. The organisation and the people who live there make you feel at home straight away.

The massage course by Dee and Caren was one of a kind; they are wonderful people and teachers and gave the participants the confidence to massage with their heart. The results were amazing. The Krishna devotees at the Temple are very friendly and open to tell you about Hare Krishna, without judging you if you have other viewpoints. (And they know how to cook delicious food!)

All in all, I had a unforgettable time and would love to visit this special place in the (near) future. - Florian Rath, tripadvisor

I recently stayed at the Krishna Village and participated in the Intuitive Balinese Massage Course and it was amazing. The atmosphere of the Village is calm and relaxed with a great energy in an awesome setting being overlooked by Mount Warning. The accommodation is fantastic (cabin with everything I needed) and the gardens are colorful and tranquil.

The course was perfect and ran for 2 wholesome days with Dee and Caren (course facilitators) being great instructors and awesome people. Whether you are seeking a career in massage, or just want to gain another life skill the course is perfect with a lot of hands on experience. I definitely recommend the course, and looking forward to a career shift.

The vegetarian meals were fantastic and it is such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Eating at the temple was awesome. Thanks Krishna Village, I will be back with my family next time and looking forward to attending the yoga classes and workshops.
